Job Overview:

The SEO Content Editor will be responsible for editing, optimizing, and strategizing content to improve its visibility and ranking on search engines. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Content Editing: Review and edit articles, blogs, web pages, and other content types for clarity, grammar, and style while ensuring adherence to the brand voice.
  • SEO Optimization: Implement SEO best practices, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and meta description writing, to improve search engine rankings and organic traffic.
  • Content Strategy: Collaborate with content creators to develop and refine content strategies based on keyword research, audience insights, and industry trends.
  • Performance Tracking: Analyze content performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics and SEO software to assess effectiveness and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
  • Fact-Checking: Ensure accuracy and credibility by verifying information, statistics, and sources used in content.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with writers, marketers, and designers to provide constructive feedback and guide them in creating SEO-friendly content.
  • Staying Updated: Keep abreast of the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices to continually enhance our content strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in content editing with a strong focus on SEO, preferably in a digital marketing environment.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • In-depth knowledge of SEO principles, tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Moz), and content management systems (CMS).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.
