Our client is seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to join their teams across various locations in Canada. The ideal candidates are empathetic, reliable, and committed to providing exceptional care to clients in different settings, including their homes and community care facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Care: Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Health Monitoring: Monitor and record clients' health status, noting any changes in their condition and reporting to healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Medication Assistance: Assist clients with medication administration as per care plans.
  • Mobility Support: Aid clients with mobility, including transfers and exercises to maintain their physical health and well-being.
  • Household Tasks: Perform light housekeeping duties, meal preparation, and ensure a safe and clean living environment for clients.
  • Emotional Support: Offer companionship and emotional support, helping clients maintain a positive outlook and mental health.
  • Care Planning: Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and update individualized care plans for clients.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of care provided, following all regulatory and organizational standards.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a recognized Personal Support Worker program.
  • Current PSW certification in respective provinces.
  • Knowledge of care procedures and protocols.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting and assisting clients.
