The Role: Graduate Consultant Ecologist Scotland (Hybrid)
Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Consultant Ecologist to join their motivated team, delivering protected species surveys, habitat studies, ecological appraisals, and impact assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct surveys for habitats (UKHAB) and protected species.
  • Assist as Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) for infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare survey methods and ecological desk studies.
  • Contribute to ecological reports, manage data using GIS, and write site-specific risk assessments.

What Were Looking For:

  • Qualifications: Degree in Ecology or a related discipline.
  • Skills: Experience with habitat/protected species surveys, GIS knowledge (advantageous), and strong written/verbal communication skills.
  • Other: Flexibility for nocturnal/away-from-home surveys and a full UK driving licence (essential).
