Quick Rundown:

The Data Engineer II will play a key role in fostering a dependable data foundation, strategically facilitating corporate decision-making. This will be achieved through an understanding of business needs, securing appropriate data sources, strategically designing usable data models, and building robust and dependable data pipelines that deliver trustworthy data for enterprise-level applications, systems, business intelligence, reporting, and advanced analytics.

What You'll Do:

• Strategy & Planning

  • Support long-term data platform strategy, collaborating with key stakeholders.

  • Develop short-term tactical solutions aligned with platform goals

  • Utilize data to optimize supply chain analytics (forecasting, demand planning, inventory, SKU assortment, pricing)

  • Establish governance for metadata accuracy, data quality, and continuous improvement

  • Contribute to master data and reference data management

• Acquisition & Deployment

  • Ensure successful enterprise application rollouts (ERP, SCM, CRM, PLM, WMS) by managing reliable data

• Operational Management

  • Develop and optimize high-performance data processing systems (batch, micro-batch, streaming)

  • Design scalable data models for BI, reporting, analytics, and machine learning

  • Evaluate and integrate tools, software, and systems for data technology

  • Manage data mapping, movement, and analytics to ensure high data quality

  • Support enterprise data initiatives and resolve complex data integration issues.

  • Establish rigorous testing to ensure data integrity and performance

  • Document and maintain the data platform, identifying opportunities for optimization

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field

• 2-4 years of experience in data engineering, DBA, or software development (Python, Java, .NET)

• Certifications in data architecture/engineering (Amazon, Google, Data Science Council of America) a plus

• Experience with data engineering, DataOps, and large-scale data modeling

• Strong knowledge of SQL (3+ years), relational/object/graph data structures, and metadata management

• Hands-on experience with database platforms (Azure SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)

• Experience with Tableau (creating dashboards, visualizations, reports) and data validation

• Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, web services, microservices, and container orchestration

• Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate data-driven insights to technical/non-technical stakeholders

• Knowledge of data privacy laws and data processing methodologies

• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
