Quick Rundown:
The Quality Assurance Registered Nurse (QA-RN) ensures high-quality patient care by evaluating clinical practices, monitoring compliance, and auditing medical records. This role involves ensuring accurate scheduling, maintaining regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA), and supporting continuous quality improvement through audits and performance tracking.
What Youll Do:
Quality Assurance & Monitoring:
Conduct regular audits of patient records, treatment plans, and clinical documentation for accuracy and compliance.
Identify gaps in patient care and recommend corrective actions to improve quality and safety.
Collaborate with clinical teams to enhance patient care processes.
Ensure all clinical documentation meets regulatory standards, including HIPAA compliance.
Patient and Clinical Documentation Review:
Assess the accuracy and completeness of clinical documentation, including patient histories, assessments, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.Ensure all documentation meets regulatory standards.
Participate in chart reviews and audits to verify compliance with clinical protocols.
Provide feedback to healthcare providers to enhance documentation quality.
Scheduling Oversight & Compliance:
Coordinate with scheduling teams to ensure efficient patient appointment management.
Monitor scheduling for adherence to clinical protocols.
Resolve scheduling conflicts and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management:
Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, CMS).
Monitor patient care processes to ensure confidentiality and data protection.
Support preparations for regulatory audits and inspections.
Patient Care & Coordination:
Monitor and assess patient care for timely and efficient service delivery.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate care and resolve patient concerns.
Serve as a resource for patients, addressing questions about their care.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Compile and analyze quality assurance data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Prepare quality assurance reports for leadership.
Track performance metrics for patient care and appointment scheduling.
Collaboration & Communication:
Act as a liaison between clinical teams, administrative staff, and patients.
Provide feedback on clinical documentation to improve clarity and quality.
Support care coordination to enhance patient outcomes.
License Tracking & Reassessment Oversight:
Maintain and monitor staff licenses (RN, LPN, CNA, etc.).
Coordinate client reassessments, ensuring timely completion and compliance.
Training & Education:
Provide training to clinical and administrative staff on quality assurance best practices.
Conduct workshops on patient safety, care coordination, and regulatory compliance.
What Were Looking For:
Registered Nurse (RN) with an active nursing license.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
3-5 years of clinical experience in nursing or healthcare settings.
Strong knowledge of clinical best practices, quality assurance, and compliance.
Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and scheduling software.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive patient information.
Required: Active RN license.
Preferred: Certification in quality assurance, clinical auditing, or healthcare management (e.g., Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality CPHQ).
