Summary:

The In-House Accountant provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data. The position will prepare, review, and explain financial reports like Trial Balance, Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss. This role will thoroughly, and in a timely manner, document financial transactions for multiple business entities

Responsibilities:

Reporting

  • Prepare, review, analyze, and explain financial reports, such as, Trial Balance, Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss

  • Prepare and reference source documents / working papers as per standard procedures

  • Perform other accounting tasks, related duties and special projects as requested

  • Comparing reports versus actuals received

Bookkeeping

  • Daily transactional data entry and coding, including all source and supporting documentation per archival procedures

  • Booking intercompany reimbursements

  • Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts

  • Monthly reconciliation of credit card accounts

  • Monthly reconciliation of all other Balance Sheet accounts

  • Set-up data file for new businesses as needed

  • Cash verification

  • Keeps bank accounts current

Payroll

  • Manage all entities bank accounts for oversight in preparation for payroll and payroll taxes and oversee all reporting required by Federal and State

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

  • Minimum 4 years of related experience with references

  • Experience with multi-entity accounting or multi-unit franchise experience preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software

  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online

  • Ability to use accounting software to prepare financial and payroll reports

  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
