Quick Rundown:
We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Nursing Support & Quality Specialist.
This role combines clinical nursing support, quality assurance, patient coordination,
documentation review, scheduling support, compliance, and healthcare operations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, working independently, communicating with clinical teams, and ensuring that patient and employee records are accurate and up to date.
This is a great opportunity for an RN who enjoys both clinical and administrative responsibilities and has strong attention to detail and follow-through.
What You'll Do:
Clinical & Patient Support
Support central intake and new patient/client entry.
- Monitor nursing emails for patient updates, orders, service changes, and supply requests.
Assist with patient follow-ups, discharges, and clinical coordination.
Support skilled nursing scheduling and scheduling changes.
- Monitor authorizations, pending signatures, and outstanding clinical orders.
Assist with answering incoming calls and responding to inquiries.
Quality Assurance & Auditing
Conduct patient and employee chart audits.
- Review clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Monitor care documentation, touchpoints, and required follow-ups.
- Review alerts and care note exceptions and coordinate appropriate follow-up.
- Identify documentation or quality concerns and escalate them when necessary.
- Support Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) reviews and quality improvement initiatives.
Documentation & Systems
Review nursing orders and required documentation.
Prepare and send forms through PandaDoc.
- Upload completed forms, SOC forms, faxes, and other documentation into applicable systems.
Maintain accurate client, employee, and clinical records.
- Maintain required trackers, dashboards, and supervisory visit/touchpoint records.
Compliance & Quality Improvement
Support HIPAA and other healthcare compliance requirements.
Assist with Joint Commission (JC) compliance activities.
Review and update SOPs and procedures as needed.
Participate in Quality Committee meetings.
Assist with quarterly quality initiatives and monthly OIG checks.
Review DON meeting information and prepare meeting recaps.
Identify opportunities to improve clinical and operational processes.
Healthcare Provider & Account Support
Assist with Healthcare Provider (HCP) management.
Maintain HCP-related records and the HCP Do Not Call List.
Support National Account needs and follow-ups.
- Assist with communication between clinical, administrative, scheduling, and leadership teams.
Support National, Local, and School accounts as assigned.
Administrative & Operational Support
Maintain employee and client tracking boards.
- Assist with employee-related administrative activities, including termination and system access updates.
Participate in weekly staff meetings and other operational meetings.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure assigned follow-ups are completed on time.
- Contact approximately three National, Local, or School accounts per week, as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
Registered Nurse (RN)– Required
- 3–5 years of nursing or healthcare experience
- Experience in home health, skilled nursing, healthcare operations, quality assurance, clinical auditing, or care coordination is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of clinical documentation and healthcare compliance.
Experience with EHR/EMR or healthcare management systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong follow-up and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Comfortable communicating with patients, clinicians, healthcare providers, clients, and internal teams.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information appropriately.
