Quick Rundown:

We are seeking a Sales & Use Tax Associate to handle tax compliance, returns, audits, and certificate management while supporting the VP/Treasurer and Sales & Use Tax Specialist Lead.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support the VP/Treasurer and Sales & Use Tax Specialist Lead in reconciliations, analysis, and reporting for sales and use tax.
    Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns accurately and on time.

  • Assist with sales and use tax audits and ensure compliance with applicable jurisdictions.

  • Communicate with associates and sales partners to explain requirements, escalate issues, and gather tax-related information.
    Respond to taxing authority notifications and resolve reporting/payment issues.

  • Maintain and review resale/tax-exempt certificates, updating customer records as needed.

  • Support companies use tax audits on expenses such as supplies, maintenance, and repairs.

  • Prepare reports on activities, entries, and year-end audit schedules for management.

  • Maintain records, reports, and analyses, and disseminate information to relevant personnel.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned


What We're Looking For:

  • 12 years in sales/use tax or related financial roles.

  • Experience with computerized tax software.

  • Associate degree in finance, accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Understanding of sales and use tax compliance.
