Responsibilities

  • Participate in strategic planning and technology discussions that drive facility infrastructure and utility system designs.

  • Develop and implement engineering solutions for complex facility and utility-related challenges.

  • Lead and support capital projects from concept through design, installation, commissioning, and project closeout.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to establish project scope, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.

  • Prepare and present technical recommendations, engineering analyses, design reviews, and project updates.

  • Ensure timely and accurate development of engineering documentation, specifications, drawings, and operating procedures.

  • Support compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

  • Identify and implement reliability, sustainability, and energy conservation improvements.

Electrical Engineering Focus

  • Design and maintain facility electrical distribution systems in collaboration with external engineering firms.

  • Maintain electrical system documentation from utility service entrance through end-use loads.

  • Develop and manage facility UPS strategies to support critical manufacturing operations.

  • Support building automation and controls initiatives, including integration of sensors, controllers, and power distribution systems.

  • Troubleshoot electrical infrastructure including switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, and distribution equipment.

Mechanical Engineering Focus

  • Support facility HVAC, chilled water, process cooling water, clean dry air, vacuum, and exhaust systems.

  • Drive mechanical system optimization, reliability improvements, and capacity planning activities.

  • Support equipment installation and facility modifications to meet manufacturing requirements.

  • Lead preventive maintenance strategy improvements and mechanical system troubleshooting.

Chemical Engineering Focus

  • Support bulk chemical distribution systems, specialty gas systems, wastewater treatment, and process utility systems.

  • Ensure safe handling and delivery of chemicals used in semiconductor manufacturing.

  • Lead process optimization initiatives to improve operational efficiency, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.

  • Support environmental programs related to air emissions, wastewater, and chemical management.
