Summary
Client is seeking an innovative Sr. Workplace Services Specialist to lead PNW
workplace events and experiences. You will design and execute regional event strategies that align
with our global experience strategy to drive culture, community, and employee connection. You'll
establish operational best practices to solve complex scaling challenges in a high growth
environment for our Bellevue and Seattle locations.
You will partner closely with our Workplace Services team, build strong relationships with internal
stakeholders and key external vendors driving our expansion and culture. As the Databricks' PNW
flagship location, our Bellevue office is rapidly scaling, with substantial future growth planned. This is
a full-time, in-office role based in Bellevue, WA, reporting to the Manager, Workplace Services.
Responsibilities
Strategic Event Delivery: Scope and execute complex, high-impact workplace initiatives,
transforming ambiguous requirements into successful, culture-driving employee
experiences.
Operational Excellence: Independently manage project lifecycles using repeatable inspection
mechanisms (dashboards, run-of-shows) to ensure fluid communication and flawless
execution.
Process Optimization: Continuously improve event scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency
to maximize impact across the regional event lifecycle.
Data-Driven Insights: Provide site-specific data and executive insights to REWS leadership,
business stakeholders and leaders to inform regional strategy, decision-making, and
measure impact and success.
Stakeholder Management & Communication: Maintain transparent communication
cadences to keep business partners and leadership aligned on milestones, budgets, and
risks. Be well versed in creating employee facing communications plans to drive event
engagement and awareness.
Strategic Partnership: Consult with internal hosts to ensure event experiences directly
support business objectives and organizational goals.
Future Planning: Anticipate growth needs and maintain an annual roadmap to scale the
PNW workplace events strategy.
Leadership & Mentorship: Foster excellence and collaboration by mentoring internal and
outsourced team members on operational standards.
Vendor Management: Oversee performance and strict SLAs for the Food & Beverage
Program to ensure quality alignment with budget and experience goals.
Standardization: Maintain SOPs and playbooks to ensure regional operational consistency.
Innovation: Integrate automation and AI tools to drive reporting efficiency and rapid
continuous improvement.
Requirements
Expertise: 6-8+ years in corporate events or hospitality, serving as a technical authority with
a track record of elevating high-performing teams.
Event Strategy: Proficient in leading a diverse portfolio, from agile cultural moments to
large-scale annual offsites, holiday celebrations, executive briefing center events, and
business meetings and trainings.
Technical Proficiency: Approaches the work with an AI first mindset and is skilled in budget
tracking, procurement, and event management platforms (e.g., Asana ) to provide real-time
status dashboards to leadership.
Safety & Inclusion: Safety-first mindset with CPR/First Aid certifications; dedicated to
designing accessible and inclusive experiences for all abilities.
Systems Knowledge: Experience with Google Suite, Asana, Slack, EPOCH, FreshService, and
Envoy.
Adaptability: Effective at extracting clear goals from ambiguous requests to create
structured, executable plans; thrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrating the ability to
pivot strategies quickly without losing momentum or quality.
Flexibility: Ability to maintain a flexible schedule for on-site events, including occasional
evenings and weekends.
Stakeholder management and Influence: Proven ability to partner with senior leaders,
vendors and cross-functional partners to secure alignment and high-quality service delivery.
Team Enablement: Commitment to mentoring peers, building scalable playbooks, and
coaching others to execute first class events.
Culture Building: Models Culture Principles to design experiences that foster an inclusive
and highly engaged workplace environment working closely with our inclusion team, affinity
group leaders, and local employees.
