Technical Support Analyst Hybrid/Home-based
You will need to be able to easily access one of their offices in offices in either Batley, Sherburn or Peterborough.
Salary Up to £34,000 plus O/T allowance £2-3K
Our client is looking for an experienced electronic security engineer to help drive their world-class customer service ethos and improve their remote customer service delivery through the fire & security business.
- Providing customer service support
- Improving first-time remote diagnostics and fixes
- Providing support to our field engineers. The Technical Support Engineer will be a key player and it is expected that the successful candidate will take great pride in their work and be a champion of delivering a quality service at all times.
Day to Day
- Dealing with reported service faults and negating the need for unnecessary engineer attendances
- Diagnosing faults and ensuring our engineers are aware of the call requirements or service parts required
- Supporting our field engineers
- Pre-configuration of electronic security and IT equipment for installation projects working with our project
managers to assist smooth and efficient installation projects - Remote commissioning and audits on new and existing installation projects
- Supporting sales staff with technical information to assist tenders and security system proposal
- Supporting our service team to ensure the correct parts are quoted for service repairs
- General internal basic IT support for PCs, Laptops, mobile devices etc
- Pro-active remote servicing of security systems
- Providing occasional out of hours remote support on a team rota basis
Ideal Experience and Qualifications:
- Experienced multi scope electronic security field engineer
- Worked on products such as Hanwa, Hikvision, Texecom, Pyronix, and Gallagher
- Strong intruder alarm knowledge & experience is essential
- Any relevant security industry qualifications for CCTV, Access
- Control, Intruder Alarms & Fire Alarms
- A good understanding of current British standards and codes of practise for Fire & Security systems
- Good customer communication skills
- A good working knowledge of IP networks and basic IT skills
- Can work on own initiative or as part of a team when required
- A broad practical understanding and appreciation of operational
- Experience with Sentinel and Immix monitoring station software desirable
- Router and firewall knowledge is desirable
