City Build Recruitment is working with a leading architectural firm in Toronto to find a highly skilled Senior Architectural Technologist with experience in Healthcare and Higher Education projects. Were seeking a seasoned professional who can hit the ground running, manage complex technical tasks, and lead project teams through all phases of design and construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the development of detailed working drawings and construction documents with a focus on accuracy and quality
• Lead design development and ensure the integration of architectural, structural, and mechanical systems
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure all projects comply with the Ontario Building Code (OBC), accessibility standards, and other regulatory requirements
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff and technologists
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines and budgets are met
• Use Revit and other software to produce high-quality documentation and resolve complex design challenges

Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology or a related field
• 8+ years of experience as an Architectural Technologist, with a strong portfolio in healthcare and higher education projects
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam
• Deep understanding of building systems, construction methods, and technical detailing
• Comprehensive knowledge of Ontario Building Code (OBC) and healthcare-specific regulations
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects and teams effectively
