City Build Recruitment is representing our client, a highly regarded architecture firm with projects across Canada, in their search for a Project Architect to lead the delivery of core and shell commercial projects in the Ottawa-Gatineau region. This is a great opportunity for an architect looking to take ownership of design and technical execution on high-quality buildings.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented architect with experience across all phases, from design development through to construction, and strong coordination skills with consultants and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of core and shell projects across commercial and industrial sectors

• Produce and coordinate full drawing sets using Revit

• Oversee consultant coordination and technical design development

• Ensure code compliance and quality control at all phases

• Participate in site reviews as required (local travel only)

• Interface directly with clients, municipalities, and project stakeholders

Requirements

• Licensed Architect in Ontario (or nearing licensure)

• 5+ years of experience with commercial or industrial projects

• Strong understanding of core and shell design and detailing

• Proficiency in Revit and technical documentation

• Based in the Ottawa-Gatineau area with flexibility for site visits

• Excellent organizational and communication skills
