Architect - Affordable Housing Residential/Civic Project

Job Title: Architect
Location: Toronto, ON (On-Site, 5 Days a Week Non-Negotiable)

We are seeking a highly skilled Architect to join our team for a large-scale homeless shelter renovation project. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise in working drawings, contract documents, and project coordination across all phases of design and construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed working drawings and contract documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Work through all project phases (not just modeling), from Design Development (DD) to Construction Documentation and Administration.
• Take ownership of floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, finishes, and assembly schedules.
• Coordinate seamlessly with engineers, consultants, and other project stakeholders to ensure alignment between drawings and specifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Revit by producing high-quality, detailed drawing sets.
• Ensure design intent is carried through all phases while maintaining constructability and compliance.
• Review and refine project documentation to meet industry standards and client expectations.

Requirements:

Proven experience in producing working drawings and contract documents.
Ability to showcase past working drawing sets and demonstrate your role in their development.
Strong understanding of construction detailing and documentation.
Experience in coordinating with engineers and integrating their work into architectural drawings.
Expert-level Revit skills this is a must.
Ability to work full-time, on-site (5 days a week, non-negotiable).
