Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and talented Intern Architect or Intermediate Architect to join our Kitchener office. In this role, you will contribute to a variety of residential projects, utilizing your skills in Revit to create innovative and functional designs. This position is ideal for an individual eager to grow in a collaborative environment and enhance their architectural expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design Development: Assist in the creation and development of architectural designs for residential projects, from concept to detailed design.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents using Revit, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with senior architects, engineers, and other team members to coordinate project requirements and achieve design objectives.
• Client Interaction: Participate in client meetings, assisting in presentations and gathering feedback to refine designs based on client needs.
• Site Visits: Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, gather measurements, and ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
• Research and Compliance: Stay informed about building codes, regulations, and industry trends to ensure all designs meet compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Architecture or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• 1-3 years of experience in residential architecture (for Intern Architects, relevant internships may be considered).
• Proficiency in Revit and other design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp).
• Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
