Position Type: Full-time, In-office (5 days)

Role Overview: As the Business Development Lead/Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our client's architectural practice. With a focus on expanding the firm's presence in Toronto and beyond, you will lead business development efforts to identify, pursue, and secure new opportunities in architecture, engineering, and interior design. Leveraging your expertise and industry connections, you will cultivate strategic partnerships, generate leads, and develop tailored strategies to showcase the firm's capabilities and contributions to making Toronto a better place.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead business development initiatives to drive growth and expand the firm's client base in Toronto and surrounding areas.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in architecture, engineering, and interior design sectors, with a focus on projects that align with the firm's mission and values.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including developers, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and community groups.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling proposals, presentations, and marketing materials that highlight the firm's expertise and impact.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and challenges in the architectural industry.
  • Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote brand awareness and foster new relationships.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to project teams throughout the business development process, from initial lead identification to contract negotiation and project kickoff.
  • Track and report on business development activities, pipeline, and performance metrics to senior leadership.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, business, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the architecture, engineering, or interior design industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully generating leads, securing new business, and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of the architectural design process, project lifecycle, and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for urban development, community engagement, and sustainability.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a results-oriented approach and a commitment to achieving business objectives.
