Senior Technologist / Technical Job Captain - Public Realm

Our client, a design-focused firm with a growing North American footprint, is seeking a Senior Technologist or Technical Job Captain to lead complex public realm and institutional projects from a technical perspective. This position is fully remote and open to candidates anywhere in Canada or the U.S.

This role suits a seasoned technologist who thrives in technical coordination, production leadership, and multi-disciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical production and coordination of large-scale civic and institutional projects

• Oversee drawing development in Revit and ensure compliance with code and QA/QC standards

• Collaborate closely with design leads, consultants, and internal teams

• Provide mentorship and quality control on production sets

• Coordinate drawing packages and consultant inputs with minimal supervision

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in architecture or technical production roles

• Expertise in institutional or civic project delivery

• Advanced Revit skills and familiarity with current BIM coordination practices

• Strong technical drawing, detailing, and communication skills

• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote team environment

• Based in Canada or the U.S. with access to reliable internet and virtual collaboration tools
