Technical Job Captain, Architecture, Security Clearance

We are currently seeking a skilled Technical Job Captain with a strong background in delivering complex architectural projects. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a technically focused role and has a deep understanding of Canadian building standards and construction documentation processes.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience working in Canada
  This is a mandatory requirement due to project security clearance protocols requiring a 10-year work/residency history within Canada.
• Demonstrated experience working on complex buildings (e.g., institutional, healthcare, industrial, transportation, or large commercial projects).
• Experience limited to single-family residential projects will not be considered.
• Proficient in developing and coordinating detailed construction documentation sets.
• Strong knowledge of the National and provincial building codes, technical detailing, and consultant coordination.
• Proficiency in Revit and other production software.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the preparation of construction documents, ensuring accuracy, technical soundness, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Work closely with project managers and architects to implement design intent across all phases.
• Interface with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Conduct quality control reviews and assist in construction administration tasks as needed.
• Support junior staff and contribute to a collaborative technical team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Architectural Technologist diploma or a degree in Architecture.
• Experience with government or security-cleared projects is an asset.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
