The Payroll Analyst is responsible for designing and implementing streamlined payroll processes while maintaining accurate documentation and transaction records. They conduct regular audits, monitor compliance with statutory regulations, and manage payment calendars to ensure timely and accurate payroll operations. The role involves creating custom reports, analyzing large data sets for mandatory and ad hoc reporting, and supporting year-end payroll activities. Additionally, the Payroll Analyst provides backup support to the payroll team, fosters collaboration across departments, and drives continuous improvement in payroll systems and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, document, and implement procedures to streamline payroll processes
  • Maintenance of accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions
  • Identify key areas that need process improvement, documentation, backup, and/or additional support
  • Conduct regular audits on payroll procedures and records
  • Manage payment calendars for the calendar year
  • Assist with highlighting and resolving integrity issues within existing data systems: manage and continually improve information tools.
  • Responsible for the remittance processing and payment for operating company
  • Monitor and implement statutory updates for regulations relating to payroll
  • Monitor team Service Level Agreement (SLA) and/or Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Provides backup support to Payroll Team and Team Lead
  • Support Year End payroll processing activities
  • Foster a positive and collaborative environment within the payroll team and with their cross-functional department peer
  • Create custom reports and analyze large amounts of information to support mandatory reporting, day-to-day and ad hoc business needs
  • Stay up to date on local laws affecting payroll, e.g. tax, SSS, Phil Health, SSS, Pag IBIG, etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, & SKILLS:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelors/College Degree in BSBA or any related field
  • 1-year experience in Payroll and Timekeeping, Compensation, and Benefits; experience in a shared service or fast-paced environment, preferred
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Analyst, Payroll Processor, or similar role
  • Working knowledge of local payroll and tax
  • Hands-on experience with payroll software (like SAP), an advantage
  • Proficient in the use of MS Excel
  • Good analytical skills
  • Has keen attention to details
  • The ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Good multitasking and organizational skills
