About the job Food Safety and Quality Assurance Analyst
The Food Safety and Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible in ensuring the compliance of all employees, procedures and products from the catering unit is within National and International Food Safety Standard.
Duties and Resposibilities:
Includes the following; but not limited to other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
- Controls and monitors quality management system. This includes the Receiving Area, Butchery, Hot Kitchen, Cold Portioning Area, Flowline or Make & Pack, and Dispatch.
- Micro Analysis of Water, Tube Ice, Food Contact Surfaces & Hand Swabs.
- Prepares Food Samples for Micro Test in GCAT Manila.
- Monthly filing of all Food Safety Standards.
- Calibration of Equipment such as Probe/IR Thermometer, Gauge of Chiller & Freezer, and Weighing Scale.
- Ensures compliance with national and international standards (HACCP) and legislation; considering the application of environmental and health/safety food standards.
- Provides training (like Halal and Food Safety), tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality.
- Asses suppliers' and own company's product specifications and customer requirements.
- Works with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.
- Liaises with customers' auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers' specifications.
- Activities of Pest Control provider.
- Perform regular sanitation audits of the plant and leads internal QA Auditor and other Government Institution such as Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ).
- Build, manage, and control the implementation of full GMP, QA, HACCP integrated documentation system to facilitate updates, locations, follow ups of documentations related to the QA system.
- Generates ISO Scala on Housekeeping – Operating/Cleaning Supplies.
- Liaise with third party ISO certified laboratory for the monthly test of tube ice.
- Develop product specifications
- Organize schedule of annual medical and physical exam as requirement for BOQ yellow cards.
- Organize schedule for annual HALAL training to be conducted by the HALAL international agency.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of B.S Food Technology / B.S Biology
- Experience and Training Required:
- Fresh graduate or with work experience in the same capacity
- Good communication skills
- Computer literate (word, excel, power point)
- Knowledge in Food Safety
