Job summary:

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies for the various business streams, relationship management and the supervision and training of a team of young professional. This position is responsible for instilling a marketing led ethos across the institution in Cambodia, developing integrated annual marketing plans for the key business streams, and establishing and building upon strategic relationships. The position mush work consultatively and responsively with both internal and external stakeholders and manage and foster professional skills development in a team of junior staff who are responsible for events, publications, advertising, and external and internal communications.  


1. Key Responsibilities: 

Strategy:

  • Develop and agree comprehensive annual / quarterly / monthly marketing plans that successfully support the achievement of country goals across business lines within agreed timeframes and to expected quality standards
  • Design and agree multi-channel marketing campaigns, including details of the intended source of leads, numbers of leads and related activities that will enable execution of the campaigns
  • Work with Office Manager in developing and supporting effective execution of activity calendars including in-office activities and outreach initiatives
  • Devise appropriate Public Relations strategies as required and in line with business needs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships and communication with the regional marketing team to leverage learning from the wider region on best practices across marketing areas

Lead Generation:

  • Collaboration with key stakeholders to plan and execute all lead generation initiatives in highly effective manner, which meet the required number of leads by source, enabling the country team to maximise the sales opportunities / business results
  • Identify new opportunities for generating leads and make recommendations to Country Director on the proposed investment and projected outcomes to initiate these new marketing initiatives
  • Challenges the status quo by introducing creative and innovative ideas to the management team for consideration 

Event Marketing & Contact Centre Management - Lead Qualification:

  • Plan, schedule and execute marketing activity to support the successful   operation of any events. This includes pre-event marketing and all activities relating to the event itself
  • Prepare marketing & booth designs (with support from Regional team) and ensure the institution is presented to participants in line with strategic goals and brand positioning
  • Evaluate the success of marketing events from feedback received from both clients and students and improve
  • Local Contact Centre setup and management, working closely with Regional Contact Centre team
  • Support Contact centre team to qualify the web leads as per the defined targets 
  • Contact centre performance reporting and monitoring 

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Make effective use of analytics to evaluate effectiveness of marketing campaigns and track numbers of qualified lead generated vs target for each destination
  • Proactively escalate / highlight issues, when necessary, along with ideas of how to improve lead numbers and lead quality

Digital Marketing (led by Regional Web Marketing team):

  • Work with the Regional Digital Marketing team to ensure that the local website is maintained and updated to inspire students and to meet agreed objectives
  • Drive effective use of websites by developing and implementing SEO/SEM strategies with Regional Digital Marketing team. This includes developing content that will drive students to seek out institution's website
  • Work closely with Regional Digital Marketing team to generate web leads through multiple online platforms (Google, Facebook etc.)

Vendor and Agency Management:

  • Identify, build and maintain relationships with relevant vendors, agencies, and partners to increase the business success and ensure high quality outcomes for the institution
  • Create corporate and government links to improve PR and partnership opportunities your team can leverage

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, develop and maintain a high performing team that will deliver institution's key marketing objectives from a corporate unit perspective
  • Create an environment that delivers opportunities for collaboration and co-operation across the wider regional marketing teams
  • Set performance targets for key performance indicators for team ensuring all delegations are clear
  • Contribute to building a positive work environment within the team based on a shared commitment to institution's values and quality
  • Build and maintain strong relationships and communication with regional office to leverage all marketing strategies & material that is developed

Financial Management:

  • Manage budged and resource allocations effectively to deliver business priorities 
  • Exercise appropriate stewardship over institution assets and intellectual property
  • Expenditure is in line with agree budget and business priorities

General

  • Undertake any other lawful duties as reasonably directed by management

  • Third Party Vendors, Agencies, and partners

3. Person Specification

Essential requirements (skills, knowledge, experiences & qualifications(s):

  • Educated to Graduation level or equivalent
  • Minimum five years work experience in a mid-level marketing role, or at least eight years relevant work experience 
  • Background in the successful delivery of strategic marketing activities
  • Experience in budget management
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated high level written and oral communication skills including the ability to prepare hight quality materials and communication products for print and digital media
  • Knowledge of contemporary marketing and communication practices and technological environments
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in a cross-cultural setting 
  • High level of personal initiative combined with the ability to work collaboratively with other stuff
  • Ability to inspire, manage and supervise stuff, including the ability to establish priorities and meet competing deadlines

Desirable requirement:

  • Accomplished knowledge of the education industry
  • Experience in working in dynamic global environment
