Freelance Platform Architect

We're delighted to be partnered with a leading design consultancy operating within huge projects across the globe. We are looking for a Platform Specialist with experience in complex Virtual Environments with high availability infrastructures in big Datacentres. This is an on-site freelance project for a minimum of 6 months, working as a consultant to a European Public Agency in Strasbourg, France.

The right person will have a minimum of 8 years experience working within an international team and work environment, Speak English to a fluent business level and be capable to work on-site in Strasbourg, France. The day-rate for this position is between 400-460 Euros per day.

Overview:

You will support the architecting and designing of platform solutions (e.g., DB, middleware, virtualization, container, etc.), implement platform maintenance routines and schedules, implement and operate orchestration/automation tooling to maintain and extend platform solutions and implement & operate platform management, reporting and monitoring tooling as well as Troubleshoot, diagnose, and solve platform issues.

Implement and operate platform-related software providing shared services (e.g.,OpenShift, Splunk, Oracle Enterprise Manager, etc.). Implement platform backup, restore, performance tuning and analysis. Produce and maintain platform technical documentation and operational procedures.

Skills:

- Expertise with RedHat OpenShift Container Platform

- Expertise with Kubernetes.

- Expertise in RedHat Linux administration.

- Expertise working with Docker or similar container technologies.

- Experience with on PAAS/IAAS technologies.

- Experience working with infrastructure as code technologies on Ansible

- Experience in Infrastructure provisioning, monitoring and Ops

- Experience with CEPH, vSAN and traditional storage.

- ITIL knowledge

Additional Expectations:

- English Language - Business Fluency speaking reading and writing.

- Minimum Experience: over 10 years
