Senior Back End Developer

We're recruiting for a Senior Back End Developer to join an emerging and rapidly growing software company in the heart of London, building industry leading cloud-based video software. This is a permanent and senior position, looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years of experience, who can work on-site in London (EC3N).

You'll be working with a small team of industry experts in engineering, AI and robotics who have amassed experience with some of the worlds leading businesses. This is an exciting position within a venture backed company that is already generating its own revenue with years of stability.

Your responsibilities will include:

- To be responsible for a large portion of the back-end stack.

- On-going database optimisation

- Recommendation and implementation of new database technologies as needed.

- Design and architecture of the backend APIs, and ensure the system can scale and have full observability.

- Maintaining the existing backend codebase and system with high uptime and availability.

- Delivering high-quality features, testing them well, and debugging issues.

- Supporting a broader team in implementing various product features.

Your experience will be:

- 4+ years of industry experience.

- Experience building systems of reasonable scale.

- Experience with the following stack: FastAPI, Python3, Docker, Postgres, Redis.

- Experience debugging, scaling, and optimizing API + database solutions.

- Infrastructure-as-code solutions (Pulumi over AWS).

- Monitoring (Sentry and Grafana).

- Authentication (Auth0).

- Any experience with front-end (React), platform engineering (C++), or video streaming is a bonus, but not necessarily required.
