Traveling Superintendent
Location: Texas-Based Travel Role
Compensation: $100,000–$115,000 Base Salary + Project Bonus + Per Diem

Our client is a well-established commercial general contractor with a strong reputation throughout Texas for delivering high-quality educational and commercial projects through CMAR, General Contracting, and Design-Build delivery methods. Founded in 2002, the company has built a long-standing reputation for integrity, operational excellence, and maintaining strong relationships with both clients and employees.
They are actively seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to join their growing team. This individual will oversee day-to-day field operations, maintain project schedules, ensure jobsite safety, and manage projects with minimal oversight from upper management.

Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily field operations for commercial construction projects
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive jobsite environment
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, and project logistics
- Manage project schedules and maintain progress toward key milestones
- Read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents
- Ensure quality control throughout all phases of construction
- Communicate effectively with Project Managers, owners, architects, and subcontractors
- Identify and resolve field issues proactively to keep projects moving forward
- Maintain accurate daily reports and jobsite documentation
- Monitor manpower, productivity, and overall field performance
- Lead projects independently with limited day-to-day oversight
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of Superintendent experience within commercial construction
- Strong understanding of construction site safety and field operations
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Experience managing schedules and coordinating multiple trades
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to independently run projects from the field side
- Experience with educational construction is a plus, but not required
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Positive attitude, honesty, accountability, and strong work ethic
- Willingness to travel throughout Texas as project needs change
