About the job Junior Print Designer - Renfold Multi Brand
We have an exciting opening for a Junior Print Designer to join us at Renfold. This role is ideally suited to an established Assistant Print Designer who is ready to take the next step, or a Junior Print Designer looking to broaden their experience in a fast-moving, multi-brand environment.
You will help curate commercially relevant ranges and develop original print across our multi-gender, off-price brands and collections, spanning fashion, home and accessories across Ladies, Mens and Kids.
We are looking for someone who can help build, shape and accelerate our emerging fashion brands, balancing trend and newness with strong commercial awareness. This is an ideal role for someone with creative instincts, initiative and the ability to execute quickly and resourcefully.
You will report to the Senior Designer and work as part of a small, growing team. This is a full-time, permanent role with flexi-hours. The role is office-based during probation, followed by hybrid working with three office days per week after successful completion of probation. Salary is competitive and dependent on experience.
Role Overview
As Junior Print Designer, you will play a key role in creating trend-inspired, elevated and commercially relevant prints that reflect each brand's identity and customer.
Working closely with the Senior Designer, Commercial Manager and wider cross-functional teams, you will support the development of cohesive ranges from initial research and concept through to production-ready artwork and approval. You will manage defined print briefs and smaller areas of the range independently, while receiving support and development as you take on greater ownership.
Success in the role will mean delivering commercially relevant print options on brief and on time; producing accurate, production-ready artwork and approval comments; maintaining organised print libraries and trackers; and building strong working relationships with internal teams, customers and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Trend & Market Strategy and Analysis: Conduct ongoing trend, competitor and market research to inform seasonal print direction and maintain commercial relevance. Create clear visual presentations and confidently share ideas with the design team and senior stakeholders.
- Print Design and Development: Create original, commercially relevant prints using hand-drawn, painted and digital techniques. Develop seamless repeats, placements, engineered prints and colourways appropriate to the product, customer and price point.
- Drive Newness in Print and Range Curation: Work with the Senior Designer and Commercial Manager to curate cohesive, seasonally appropriate ranges that balance trend, newness, customer needs and proven commercial print handwriting.
- Decipher Print Trends: Identify and prioritise the key print directions and commercial print stories that will drive the seasonal assortment across the relevant brands and categories.
- Production-Ready Artwork and Approvals: Prepare accurate artwork, CADs, colourways, specifications and print information for sampling and production, including Pantone references where required. Support strike-off, lab-dip and sample approvals, ensuring colour, scale and design intent are maintained throughout development.
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Relationships: Partner closely with commercial, design and buying, colleagues to align print and design decisions with customer, cost, quality and delivery requirements.
- Technical and Administrative Support: Produce print and shape tech packs, assist in fit and sample review sessions, maintain organised artwork and print libraries, support approvals and prepare for customer and internal meetings.
- Supplier Communication: Communicate effectively with global factories and suppliers, responding promptly to queries and supporting the resolution of technical or production issues.
- Fabric & Sustainability: Apply a practical understanding of fabrications, print techniques and production limitations. Support the selection of options that meet sustainability, quality and price requirements while driving newness.
- Workflow Management: Manage allocated briefs and approvals against the critical path, maintain accurate trackers and files, and communicate progress, risks and changes clearly to the wider team.

- Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, with confident CAD skills and the ability to work accurately at pace.
- Experience creating seamless repeats and preparing production-ready print artwork and specifications.
- A good understanding of colour, scale, placement, Pantone references, print techniques and how artwork translates across different products and fabrications.
- Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of how brand identity and customer needs inform print and range decisions.
- Good knowledge of brand identity and experience working across multiple brands at the same time.
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to balance multiple briefs, projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
