Partner - Insolvency
Job Description:
We are interested to speak with exceptional Restructuring & Insolvency partners who can lead insolvency and restructuring cases, provide expert advisory services, and manage client relationships with a focus on insolvency law and best practice. Candidates must have experience of overseeing a team of professionals, managing high-value cases, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage insolvency and restructuring assignments, including corporate and personal insolvencies.
- Provide expert advice on insolvency-related matters, including liquidation, voluntary arrangements, and corporate restructuring.
- Ensure compliance with all local regulations, such as the Singapore Companies Act and the Insolvency, Restructuring and Dissolution Act (IRDA).
- Supervise, mentor, and manage a team of insolvency practitioners and support staff.
- Conduct financial analysis and reporting, including preparation of statements of affairs and reports to creditors and the court.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including creditors, debtors, legal advisors, regulatory bodies, and the court system.
- Assess the viability of restructuring proposals, and negotiate with creditors to maximize value for stakeholders.
- Represent clients in court hearings, creditor meetings, and negotiations.
- Develop and execute strategies for asset recovery and realization.
- Stay updated on the latest insolvency and restructuring legislation and regulatory developments in Singapore.
- Contribute to business development efforts by fostering relationships with potential clients, referral sources, and industry professionals.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Licensed Insolvency Practitioner (LIP) or equivalent in Singapore.
- Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in insolvency, restructuring, or related fields within a professional services environment.
- Proven ability to lead and manage complex insolvency cases and restructurings.
- In-depth knowledge of insolvency legislation and regulations in Singapore, particularly the IRDA.
- Strong financial analysis and reporting skills.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- A track record of maintaining and building strong client relationships.
- A deep understanding of the insolvency and restructuring market in Singapore.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in international insolvency and cross-border restructuring matters.
- Background in corporate finance, accounting, or law.
- Familiarity with litigation or court proceedings in insolvency-related cases.
