Global Product Lead
JD:
Work closely with product users, engineering, operations, GFIT, and all required stakeholders to translate
their needs or challenges into machine learning or statistical problems.
Define product goals and translate them into technical specifications.
Owns the end user experience for analytics solutions and backlog of use case priorities.
Develop analytical frameworks, models, roadmaps, and metrics for the team and broader organization.
Develops project schedules, as well as facilitating release planning, sprints planning, and demos with
stakeholders.
Prioritize backlogs; uses business expertise and understanding of analytics needs to translate
requirements into acceptable criteria.
Acts as bridge between executives and team members by serving as the primary point of contact for
project stakeholders from project inception through completion. Regularly reports status to stakeholders
and ensures delivery according to schedule and budget.
Plans resourcing for the team (i.e. new role, change in role), creates requests, and onboards members
that join the pod.
Ensures the data product or analytics solution meets relevant security, privacy, and compliance
standards.
Drives selection of solution options, work with data stewards, data engineers, data scientists, and
analytics translators to arrive at the best solutions, balancing business needs and technical feasibility.
Drives engagement with third parties to support delivery of team objectives.
Drives reporting and analytics to provide visibility on team performance and team satisfaction, as well as
monitors spring metrics and user results.
Owns and manages projected-related documentation.
Responsible for seeing solutions through the deployment, including user-centered design and change
management and careful tracking/measurement.
Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety &
Security requirements, and programs.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in business, finance, computer science, statistics, or related fields
Bachelors degree in quantitative discipline: Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations
Research, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Biostatistics, Economics, Data Science, etc.
min 10 years of experience in leading cross functional guide agile product or solution development
team with demonstrated success (e.g., data science, data engineering, consulting, product owner).
Broad knowledge in business, analytics (e.g., machine learning, statistics testing), data engineering, and
technology.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with ability to accurately analyze situations and reach
productive decisions based on informed judgement.
Experience in setting priorities for a team, managing a product backlog/release plan, tracking team level
metrics, and removing blockers (e.g., burndown chart, release burn up)
Deep understanding of agile methodologies and what makes teams successful.
Focuses on business agility and agile delivery with a fail-fast, succeed early mindset and emphasis on
measurable outcomes.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; able to communicate effectively with multiple
leadership layers and across a broad base of team members.
Self-motivated and eager to learn business and analytics perspectives.
