We are looking for a Commercial Lead to join us in the journey towards net zero.

The individual will be accountable for driving growth in revenue; negotiating and closing transactions with both buyers and sellers; and building an active sales pipeline. This role plays the key figure supporting our customers in identifying the right products and solutions to achieve their sustainability goals.

GoNetZero is backed by Singapore Stock Exchange-listed Sembcorp Industries and is the carbon management business of Sembcorp Industries.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the acquisition of new customers, managing a portfolio of existing customers and building strong, trusted relationships with them.
  • Drive customer acquisition and revenue growth strategies that are aligned to the companys target.
  • Identify new trading/revenue opportunities on the buy side, and appeal to new network of buyers.
  • Originate, structure and execute proposals and commercial deals on the sell side for various environment attributes, including carbon credits and renewable energy certificates, from various sources.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service that exceed customers expectations and goals.
  • Design and lead customer communication and spearhead marketing activities.

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in business and partnership development, sales, brokering role or B2B sales in the Commodity/Financial markets; with a strong track record of sales, origination and relationship management
  • Experience in buy and/or sell-side market for carbon credits and
  • Knowledge of carbon markets, corporate sustainability and with understanding of market dynamics in the carbon market (compliance and/or voluntary).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English.

This is a 100% in-office position. The successful candidate must be available to work from our corporate office during regular business hours.
