Our client is a prominent global retail and consumer product manufacturing player dedicated to delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer experiences. With a strong presence in Malaysia, they seek an experienced Country Manager to lead our operations and drive omnichannel marketing strategies to further expand their market share and brand presence.

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth, revenue targets, and market share expansion in Malaysia, with a primary focus on omnichannel marketing initiatives.
  2. Omnichannel Marketing Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of omnichannel marketing strategies that integrate online and offline channels seamlessly, ensuring a cohesive brand experience across all touchpoints.
  3. Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify consumer trends, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities, utilizing insights to inform strategic decision-making and marketing strategies.
  4. Brand Management: Oversee brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity in the Malaysian market, ensuring consistency across all channels while adapting strategies to local market preferences and trends.
  5. Retail Channel Management: Manage relationships with key retail partners, distributors, and wholesalers to optimize product placement, visibility, and promotional activities across retail channels.
  6. E-commerce Strategy: Develop and execute e-commerce strategies to drive online sales growth, enhance digital presence, and capitalize on the growing e-commerce market in Malaysia.
  7. Campaign Management: Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of marketing campaigns, promotions, and activations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and budgetary constraints.
  8. Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence to drive performance and results.
  9. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, supply chain, and finance, to ensure alignment of marketing efforts with overall business goals and objectives.
  10. Performance Measurement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, analyze results, and optimize strategies for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing management, focusing on omnichannel marketing strategies and operations within the retail or consumer product manufacturing industry.
  3. Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing omnichannel marketing strategies that drive revenue growth, market share expansion, and brand awareness.
  4. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve common goals and objectives.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all internal and external levels.
  6. Strategic thinker with analytical capabilities, able to translate market insights into actionable marketing strategies and tactics.
  7. Experience working in Malaysia's retail or consumer product manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
  8. Proficiency in marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and analytics tools.
  9. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
  10. Fluency in English and proficiency in other languages spoken in Malaysia is advantageous.
