Role Overview:

As the Bodyshop Parts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our parts department. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of parts procurement, inventory control, and distribution within the bodyshop environment. Your primary objective will be to optimize the availability of parts while minimizing costs and maximizing profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the procurement of parts and materials required for repairs, ensuring timely delivery and competitive pricing.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and implement effective stock control measures to minimize wastage and obsolescence.
  • Collaborate closely with the workshop team to identify parts requirements and ensure timely availability to support repair activities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements.
  • Monitor parts sales and identify opportunities to enhance revenue generation through upselling and cross-selling initiatives.
  • Implement efficient systems and procedures for parts ordering, storage, and distribution, optimizing workflow and minimizing downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized parts department environment.
  • Provide leadership and support to parts department staff, including training and development initiatives to enhance skills and performance.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the automotive industry, with a strong understanding of parts procurement and inventory management.
  • Excellent knowledge of automotive parts and components, including familiarity with various makes and models.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing parts inventory and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in relevant computer software applications, including inventory management systems and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


 Salary Package:

£ 25,000.00 - 30,000.00 (British Pound Sterling)
