Job Summary: The Customer Service/Sales Representative is responsible for providing excellent sales and customer service support to our clients. This role involves such things as handling customer inquiries, processing orders and promoting our products/services to drive sales. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver that has experience supporting revenue growth, customer acquisition levels, profitability and is proven to have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond timely and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email and chat.
  • Assist customers with product information, order processing and troubleshooting.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Identify customer needs and pursue new sales opportunities and recommend appropriate products/services to drive sales.
  • Accurately process orders, handle inquiries, and resolve any issues related to orders.
  • Handle customer complaints and provide appropriate solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Use Company systems to maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions based upon company protocols.
  • Work closely with the sales team, marketing department, and other internal teams to help achieve business goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends to effectively assist customers.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and performance metrics.
  • Help identify best practices, protocols and processes.
  • Make suggestions to improve department.
  • Assist in marketing programs.
  • Assist in analyzing customers future requirements for forecasting purposes. Provide monthly sales reports of sales pipeline.
  • Analyze the territory/markets potential, track sales, and deliver status reports.
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends.
  • Continuously improve through feedback.

Secondary job accountabilities

  • Job may require travel for sales calls, trade shows, conferences and sales meetings.
  • On Call Needs - We are a global company and there are times that you may be needed outside of normal business hours.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelors degree preferred.
  • 3-6 years proven experience in customer service and sales.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand changing technology.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, and a team player.
  • Able to function independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work on a computer and/or communicate by phone for extended periods of time.
  • Adaptable and flexible.
