We are looking for a confident and people-oriented Recruitment Interviewer to conduct candidate screening calls and interviews for a hospitality recruitment agency operating in the Australian market. This role is primarily focused on speaking with candidates, assessing their suitability, and documenting interview outcomes. The main focus will be screening hospitality candidates for roles such as kitchen hands, cleaners, and housekeepers within aged care settings, with the potential to extend to chef-level screening for experienced candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct candidate screening calls and interviews for hospitality roles including kitchen hands, cleaners, and housekeepers for aged care facilities, and chefs where applicable
  • Ask structured screening questions and accurately assess candidates based on role requirements and client expectations
  • Document interview notes, candidate responses, and overall suitability assessments clearly and accurately
  • Provide regular updates to candidates on their application status, next steps, and recruitment timelines
  • Conduct reference checks with previous employers or referees as required
  • Follow up with candidates regarding availability, missing documents, and outstanding requirements
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the recruitment system or CRM
  • Coordinate closely with the client to ensure candidate assessments align with their specific hiring needs

Requirements

  • Previous experience conducting candidate screening calls or interviews is required, this is the core function of the role
  • Must have experience supporting Australian clients or recruitment processes
  • Confident, professional, and articulate on the phone and in interviews with the ability to engage candidates and draw out relevant information
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Experience screening candidates for hospitality, aged care, or similar industries is highly preferred
  • Good judgement in assessing candidate suitability and fit for role requirements
  • Organised and reliable with strong follow-up skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with recruitment systems, ATS platforms, or CRM tools is an advantage

The ideal candidate is a natural communicator who is confident, professional, and experienced in speaking with candidates at volume. They can independently conduct structured screening interviews, accurately assess suitability for hospitality and aged care roles, and deliver a smooth and professional candidate experience from first contact through to assessment. Someone who has previously worked as a recruitment coordinator, interviewer, or talent screener in a fast-paced environment will thrive in this role.
