About the job Lead Generation & Cold Calling Specialist (SEEK) - PT - AU
We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Lead Generation & Cold Calling Specialist to support business development efforts for a hospitality recruitment agency operating in the Australian market. The primary focus of this role is to identify businesses actively hiring within the hospitality industry through SEEK and other platforms, reach out via cold calls to book discovery calls with the client, and maintain organised lead lists to support ongoing email outreach campaigns.
This role is commission-eligible on top of the hourly rate, with commission paid upon successful closed placements by the client.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct reverse marketing and lead generation primarily through SEEK and other Australian job platforms, focusing on hospitality businesses such as restaurants, hotels, catering companies, and cafes actively advertising for chefs, head chefs, and management positions
- Make outbound cold calls to key decision makers with the goal of booking a discovery or sales call with the client
- Research and gather contact details of decision makers including hiring managers, HR contacts, and business owners
- Build and maintain organised lead lists in Excel or Google Sheets for easy import into the client's CRM
- Assist in setting up and managing automated email follow-up and lead nurturing sequences within the CRM
- Track outreach activities, call outcomes, and campaign performance on an ongoing basis
- Support business development efforts through continuous market research and prospect identification
Requirements
- Previous experience in cold calling, lead generation, appointment setting, or sales support is required
- Confident and professional phone manner with the ability to engage decision makers and secure bookings
- Must have experience working with Australian clients or businesses
- Must have hands-on experience using SEEK or similar Australian job platforms to source leads and identify business opportunities
- Strong internet research and data mining skills
- Experience building and maintaining organised lead lists in Excel or Google Sheets
- Familiarity with CRM systems and email sequence tools is an advantage, experience setting up automated email campaigns is a strong plus
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Experience within hospitality, recruitment, or labour hire industries is highly preferred
Compensation
- Commission: eligible upon successful closed placement by the client, to be discussed with the client.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is confident on the phone, commercially minded, and proactive in identifying opportunities. They have a strong understanding of the Australian hospitality market, can independently work through SEEK to identify and qualify leads, and are comfortable making cold calls to secure appointments. Experience with CRM setup and email automation is a strong advantage.
