The Rostering and Onboarding Coordinator supports weekly roster planning and end-to-end employee onboarding. The role ensures consistent shift coverage across multiple teams and sites, manages last-minute changes, and oversees all administrative steps required to bring new hires on board smoothly.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and publish weekly rosters, coordinating shift allocations across several teams and locations, while ensuring adequate coverage
  • Monitor roster changes in real time, adjust assignments to address absences or unexpected demand, and communicate updates promptly to relevant stakeholders
  • Assist with the full onboarding process, including document collection, system and account setup, induction scheduling, and compliance checks
  • Maintain accurate records in rostering and HR systems, updating employee details, availability, and compliance status
  • Liaise with team leaders and managers to confirm staffing needs, resolve scheduling conflicts, and provide timely status reports
  • Support continuous improvement by suggesting process enhancements for rostering efficiency and onboarding quality

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong organisational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with office software, especially spreadsheets, calendars, and shared document tools
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly, with a willingness to adapt to changing processes and requirements
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the confidence to make decisions under time pressure
  • Experience in rostering and using rostering or workforce-management software
  • Exposure to HR or onboarding processes
