We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Admin Support Specialist with experience in accounting and payroll to support our Australian client operations. This role requires strong accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple administrative and financial tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Data Entry & Administrative Support

Accurately enter and update data from various sources into company systems and databases

Verify data by cross-checking against source documents to ensure accuracy and consistency

Retrieve and generate data reports as required

Maintain organised electronic and paper filing systems

Perform regular data backups and ensure proper record storage

Communicate with internal teams to clarify incomplete or inconsistent information

Follow established data entry procedures and company policies

Provide administrative support and assist with ad hoc tasks or special projects
Payroll Support

Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner

Calculate wages, overtime, allowances, and deductions

Maintain and update payroll records and employee information
-
Respond to payroll-related queries and resolve discrepancies

Clearly explain payroll details to employees when required

Support payroll-related projects and reporting tasks
Accounting Support

Record and process financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable

Assist with bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies

Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience in data entry, payroll, and basic accounting functions

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

High level of accuracy with excellent attention to detail

Strong numerical and data processing skills

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

Excellent organisational and time management skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using Meridian/Micropay, Xero, or FoundU
- Experience in invoicing within a pay-and-bill environment
- Exposure to Australian payroll processes and compliance (highly regarded)
