We are looking for an experienced Technical Recruiter to support a recruitment agency's hiring efforts for a fast-growing Series A Fintech startup based in Singapore. The startup has an aggressive hiring target of 50 roles over the next 12 months across three main hubs in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and London.
As the Technical Recruiter, you will work closely with the client to source and place top-tier technical talent across three critical hiring pillars. This role starts part-time with the potential to grow into a full-time engagement based on performance and workload.
Key Hiring Focus Areas
- Software Engineers (Priority), including mid to senior level and Staff Engineers. The primary technical stack focus is Golang and Temporal, a newer distributed workflow technology. Candidates at the Staff Engineer level come with competitive SGD packages and equity components, so experience positioning this type of offer to candidates is highly advantageous.
- Security Engineers, experienced professionals with a strong background in application and infrastructure security.
- Site Reliability Engineers, including specialists in GCP/Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing and screening through to offer management across all three hiring pillars
- Source and headhunt passive and active candidates across Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, London, and other international markets
- Utilise LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, X-ray search, and other advanced sourcing tools to identify and engage passive and active candidates
- Leverage GitHub, Stack Overflow, HackerNews, AngelList, and other platforms commonly used by engineers to identify and reach out to strong technical talent
- Conduct detailed technical screening interviews to assess both technical fit and cultural alignment
- Partner closely with the agency's team to deeply understand role requirements and priorities
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs
- Provide regular updates on pipeline health, market insights, and candidate feedback
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of proven technical recruitment experience within an agency, RPO, or in-house setup, this is non-negotiable
- Must have direct experience recruiting Software Engineers at all levels including Staff Engineer, Security Engineers, and Cloud/Infrastructure Engineers
- Must have strong experience hiring across APAC markets (Singapore, Malaysia, and broader region) as well as UK and international markets
- Experience supporting recruitment for Series A or early-stage tech startups, ideally in Fintech or Financial Services
- Exposure to site reliability, cloud security, or compliance-focused engineering roles
- Proven experience using GitHub, Stack Overflow, HackerNews, AngelList, and similar platforms to source and identify qualified engineering candidates beyond LinkedIn
- Strong technical knowledge across engineering disciplines including software development languages (Golang preferred), security, cloud platforms, and DevOps
- Proficient in LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean and X-ray search, and other advanced sourcing methodologies
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage technical candidates and senior stakeholders effectively
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced, remote environment
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the recruitment function with minimal oversight
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Temporal, distributed systems, or other emerging engineering technologies
- Knowledge of equity compensation structures and how to position these to candidates
- Active presence or personal network within developer or engineering communities online
