About the Role:
We are looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in accounts receivable (AR), invoicing, reconciliations, and day-to-day accounting operations. This role is pivotal in maintaining the financial health of the organization and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Controller and work closely with the finance team to streamline processes and drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts receivable (AR) processes, including invoicing, collections, and credit management.
- Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and other financial data.
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries in Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains).
- Oversee day-to-day accounting functions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closings, including preparing financial reports.
- Monitor cash flow, ensure timely collections, and maintain accurate records.
- Support internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation and analysis.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, with a focus on accounts receivable and reconciliations.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) is required.
- Language: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of US accounting principles and regulations.
- Must be based in US
