Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe and type a variety of source materials (handwritten, scanned, audio) into Word, Google Docs, or proprietary platforms.
- Apply consistent formatting rules (styles, headings, lists) to ensure brand compliance.
- Proofread and edit transcriptions for grammar, punctuation, and spelling accuracy.
- Use document management systems to upload, name, and organize files.
- Verify content against original sources to maintain 99.9% accuracy.
- Track progress and report daily production metrics to the virtual team lead.
- Collaborate via Slack, Teams, or Zoom to clarify ambiguous content.
- Maintain document version control and accurate metadata.
- Adhere to confidentiality protocols for sensitive client information.
- Participate in brief weekly training sessions to refine style guidelines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college course work in English or communications a plus.
- Typing speed of at least 60 WPM with 95% accuracy.
- Basic proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel) or Google Workspace.
- Ability to learn proprietary document platforms in under two weeks.
- Excellent written English and keen eye for formatting consistency.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple files.
- Reliable home office setup: quiet environment, stable internet (minimum 25 Mbps), computer or laptop.
- No prior professional experience required training provided.
