Sr. Accountant

Job Overview:

We're looking for a talented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team and help drive our ongoing success. As the Senior Accountant, you'll support the financial operations of our Charleston, SC studios, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and providing valuable financial insights to guide business decisions. You'll work closely with our Finance Manager, Studio Head, and senior team to ensure the profitability of our Charleston location.

Responsibilities:

• Hands-on experience in end-to-end accounting activities and book closures.
• Complete knowledge of finance activities, like preparation of PL, Balance Sheet, Statutory Requirements as per local regulations, etc.
• Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Participate in the development and implementation of internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and maintain secure storage of financial information.
• Prepare supporting information for annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
• Regularly meet with the Finance Manager to improve processes, turnaround time, etc.
• Assist in managing the studio P&L efficiently, providing relevant financial insights and analysis.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualification: Minimum Bachelors degree, ideally in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional Qualification: CPA/CA or equivalent (preferred).
• 4 to 6+ years of progressive experience in financial accounting.

Skills:

• Strong experience with MS Office and excellent Excel skills.
• Good communicator with a "Make It Happen" attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
