About the team:

Strategic Support States (SSS) team at Central Square Foundation assists the States in designing and implementing the respective state missions to ensure FLN learning outcomes for children. Spread across five states, the Project Management Units (PMUs) of the team work closely with the state bodies in co-ideating goals of the missions, identifying critical workstreams, setting indicators of success across the workstreams, and reviewing mission progress. Apart from these core activities, the SSS team also conducts action research projects and pilots context-specific programs to accelerate student learning.

Position Summary

CSF is looking for a Project Associate/Project Manager in Hyderabad, Telangana to support the states FLN (Foundational Literacy and Numeracy) team in developing and rolling out a holistic foundational learning program. This role will design robust data-gathering and analysis systems, cultivating a culture of evidence-based decision-making while coordinating with technology vendors to build user-friendly tracking and reporting tools. On the governance front, the position will involve overseeing budgetary planning, aligning stakeholders at various government levels, and ensuring that daily operations and policy decisions are guided by accurate insights all with the overarching goal of improving foundational learning outcomes for children.

Key Responsibilities

- Support in design and implementation of frameworks for data gathering, analysis, and visualization to inform decision-making and measure program impact.

- Collaborate with external technology vendors to develop and deploy user-friendly tracking tools and platforms that enable real-time monitoring for the state.

- Support government stakeholders in aligning resources to program objectives, ensuring that funding allocations are driven by data and strategic needs.

- Work closely with Project Lead in supporting the stakeholders and other stakeholders to streamline processes, share insights, and facilitate smooth implementation of the foundational learning program.

- Create regular dashboards, progress summaries, and in-depth analyses to keep stakeholders informed and facilitate evidence-based policy and operational decisions.

- Train and guide key stakeholders on data-driven planning and action, building a culture of evidence-based decision-making at various government levels.

- Continuously assess the effectiveness of interventions, leveraging quantitative and qualitative data to recommend timely enhancements that strengthen learning outcomes.

- Work cross-functionally with teams (e.g., content, training, communications) and encourage knowledge exchange to ensure that data findings inform all aspects of program design and execution.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

- Bachelors degree from a reputed university; a Masters degree preferred (in education, development studies, public policy, and social sciences)

- 0 to 4 years of work experience, preferably in the education sector demonstrating excellent project delivery and stakeholder management

- Keen interest in the Development/Education sector

- Fluent in English with excellent reading and writing skills, preference for candidates that know the local language Telugu

- Knowledge and skill in using monitoring and evaluation techniques to measure the effectiveness of the large scale programs.

- Ability to deal with complex requirements and work effectively with people, along with effective problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Experience in analysing data using statistical tools and packages
