About RMEAL at CSF


The Research, Monitoring, Evaluation, Assessment & Learning (RMEAL) function at CSF serves as the organization’s central evidence and learning spine. RMEAL partners closely with program verticals—including EdTech—to design, execute, quality-assure, and translate rigorous evidence into actionable insights for decision-making at scale.

Position Summary


As Project Lead – RMEAL, you will drive the design, quality assurance, and learning agenda for evidence generation across CSF’s EdTech and AI-enabled initiatives. You will work in close partnership with the EdTech vertical to ensure evaluations are methodologically robust, decision-relevant, and embedded into program and ecosystem strategy.

Key Responsibilities


Evidence Design & Methodological Execution:

  • Design and review rigorous evaluation approaches (RCTs, quasi-experimental, mixed-methods).

  • Review SAPs, tools, and analytical outputs.

Evaluation Quality Assurance & Process Stewardship:

  • Guide end-to-end evaluation processes.

  • Use structured QA tools and templates.

Learning, Insights & Translation:

  • Translate findings into actionable insights and learning products.

Stakeholder & Partner Engagement:

  • Support funder, government, and partner engagements.

Team Support & Capability Building:

  • Mentor junior team members and support onboarding.

Planning, Delivery & Portfolio Management:

  • Manage timelines, budgets, and reporting.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Public Policy, Education, Statistics, or related field.

  • 6–8 years of experience in research, evaluation, or evidence-informed program design.

  • Experience with quantitative and mixed-methods evaluations.

  • Ability to translate research into decision-oriented insights.

Technical Skills Required

  • Strong command of statistical analysis using tools such as Stata, R, or Python.

  • Ability to develop and review study plans and Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs) for experimental and quasi-experimental study designs.

  • Ability to work with complex survey data, sampling designs, and weighting.

  • Experience working with dashboards or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Data Studio) is desirable.

  • Familiarity with qualitative analysis tools and mixed-methods research workflows is an added bonus.

  • Strong documentation skills (methods notes, technical briefs, learning memos).
