Position Overview:

As a French-Speaking Help Desk Technician, you will play a critical role in providing technical support to our French-speaking clients and employees. You will serve as the first point of contact for troubleshooting IT issues, resolving technical problems, and ensuring smooth operations for users. This is a hybrid role, allowing you the flexibility to work remotely part of the time, while also offering the opportunity for in-person collaboration at our Barcelona office.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide Technical Support: Offer technical assistance to French-speaking users, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues via phone, email, and remote tools.

Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Quickly and effectively troubleshoot technical problems, providing clear, step-by-step guidance to users.

Collaborate with Teams: Work with other IT specialists and departments to resolve more complex technical issues and improve system performance.

User Account Management: Assist with user account setup, password resets, and access permissions, ensuring that security protocols are followed.

System Maintenance: Perform routine checks, software installations, updates, and upgrades to ensure all systems are running smoothly.

Document Issues and Solutions: Maintain detailed records of support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the ticketing system.

Client Communication: Ensure clear, timely communication with clients about their support requests, follow-up on open tickets, and escalate issues as needed.

Provide Training: Offer basic user training on common software tools, best practices for IT security, and general troubleshooting.

Requirements:

Fluency in French (both written and spoken) is required.

Proficiency in English (written and spoken) for communication with international teams.

Previous experience in a help desk, IT support, or technical customer service role is highly preferred.

Solid understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, MacOS), and software applications.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Knowledge of network troubleshooting, VPN, and remote desktop tools is a plus.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-Haves:

IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL) are a plus.

Experience with ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Jira, or Zendesk.

Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., Office 365, G Suite).

Basic understanding of cybersecurity practices and best practices.
