About the Role:
We are looking for a highly detail-oriented and proactive German-speaking Content Compliance Officer to join our compliance and content integrity team in Barcelona. In this role, you will ensure that all user-generated and platform-distributed content complies with legal regulations, community standards, and internal policies—particularly for the German market. You will play a key role in upholding brand integrity, legal compliance, and user trust.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and review user-generated and published content in German to ensure compliance with legal requirements, platform policies, and regional regulations.

Identify and flag content that violates internal guidelines or applicable laws (e.g., hate speech, misinformation, copyright infringement).

Liaise with legal, trust & safety, and content moderation teams to ensure consistent enforcement of standards.

Interpret and apply regulatory frameworks (e.g. DSA, GDPR, NetzDG) to everyday content review and enforcement processes.

Assist in developing and updating content policies and compliance documentation for the German-speaking market.

Prepare internal reports and risk assessments related to content trends and compliance issues.

Support audits and investigations related to content regulation and data handling.

Participate in training sessions and workshops to stay updated on evolving compliance standards.
Requirements:

Fluent in German (native or near-native level) and proficient in English.

Proven experience in compliance, content moderation, policy enforcement, or trust & safety roles.

Solid understanding of German and EU content regulations (e.g., NetzDG, DSA, GDPR).

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Comfortable working with sensitive or challenging material.

Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Legally authorized to work in Spain.
Preferred Qualifications:

Legal or policy background, or relevant certifications in compliance or data protection.

Experience with digital platforms, social media, or user-generated content environments.

Familiarity with content moderation tools (e.g., Zendesk, Jira, internal CMS).

Additional language skills (e.g., Spanish, French) are a plus.
