Industrial Maintenance Electrician

 Job Description:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preventative and regular maintenance of food manufacturing equipment.
  • Required to continue upgrade skills on an on-going basis.
  • Maintain and repair production related machinery.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose Motors, Control Circuits, and Process Control (VFD & PLCs).
  • Update and maintain all logs and documentation.
  • Modify existing equipment to improve performance.
  • Must be able to work night shift and weekends.
  • Follow all GMP, Health & Safety, Food Safety & Environmental Standards.
  • Have good undersigning of the ESA requirements and the electrical code.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years minimum experience as a qualified Industrial Electrician.
  • Experience in a food manufacturing facility is an asset.
  • Knowledge of pumps, valves, motors and piping desired.
  • Can distinguish colors used in electric wiring colors-coding.
  • Certificate in Industrial Licensed Electrician 442A or Construction Maintenance (C&M) 309A

Travel Required: Minimal travel required for training and cross training
