General Manager, Europe & Mediterranean Trade Lane

We are currently seeking a strategic logistics leader to take full ownership of the Europe & Mediterranean long-haul trade lane across an extensive network, on behalf of a leading global logistics group.

As this is a trade-lane-focused role, not tied to a specific country or market, it offers a unique opportunity to step back from local operations and drive commercial strategy on a truly macro, global scale.

The Role:
You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of all long-haul cargo flows into Europe & the Mediterranean, regardless of origin (including movements from Greater China, Southeast Asia, and beyond).

You will also drive the freight procurement strategy, manage carrier partnerships, and lead agents' nomination business development, ensuring seamless alignment between capacity sourcing, nominated cargo growth, and overall trade lane profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the Group's EU & MED long-haul trade lane strategy, including volume, cost, allocation security, and profitability.
• Develop and execute freight procurement strategies to optimize capacity and cost-efficiency.
• Build and nurture strategic carrier partnerships and drive agents' nomination business development.
• Align capacity sourcing with nominated cargo growth to maximize overall trade lane profitability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally across the network to ensure seamless, end-to-end cargo flows.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven track record in trade lane management, freight procurement, or commercial leadership within global logistics.
• Strong network and deep understanding of the Europe & Mediterranean shipping/logistics market.
• Experience managing cross-regional cargo flows (especially from Asia to Europe).
• Strategic thinker with strong negotiation and partnership-building skills.
