They are currently offering an exciting opportunity for a Legal Advisor to join their expanding team in Grand Cayman.

The Legal Advisor will be part of a dynamic team in the Cayman Islands, where they will have the chance to contribute to a leading offshore legal practice. This role involves researching and assessing regulatory changes affecting both internal governance and client services. As a member of a global team, the Legal Advisor will play a key role in ensuring compliance with the firm’s industry-leading standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong research and communication skills and be proactive in engaging with stakeholders to support the firm's continued commitment to excellence.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Research, identify, and assess legislative and regulatory changes impacting internal governance and client services across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Communicate key findings and updates to senior stakeholders within the firm.

  • Provide critical support to the internal monitoring team to ensure ongoing compliance with global policies.

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of legal resources and documentation.

  • Review and disseminate updates on new legislation, regulatory changes, industry news, and case law.

  • Train new employees on the availability and use of legal resources.

  • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, participating in meetings, group calls, and social events.

  • Collaborate with other business services departments, contributing to thought leadership initiatives.

  • Support the development and delivery of internal training programs.

  • Assist in various projects and perform other duties as required by senior directors.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified lawyer with 1-3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE). Senior Paralegal applications are also welcomed.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint; knowledge of document management and automation software is a plus.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and technical skills.

  • Ability to work independently, using initiative while collaborating effectively within a team.

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet performance targets.

  • A proactive, adaptable approach to challenges and changing circumstances.
