Web Developer

In this role, you will design and implement custom WordPress-based sites and Figma pages, as well as optimize existing sites for security and functionality. The successful candidate will have experience in WordPress, WordPress plugins/themes, and preferably experience with Figma.

As a no-code / low-code developer, you will rapidly develop, launch, and manage websites, based on designs, branding, and style guides. You will then iterate these sites based on feedback from the client.

The ideal candidate for this role is a systems thinker, who is the traffic controller of multiple channels integrating with the website. This person will see the connection points of SEO, PPC, Marketing Automation, and more by having a data-driven approach to connecting cross-channel into the structure of the website.

What You'll Do:

• Collaborate with clients to design websites and required functionality, such as lead forms, affiliate marketing, etc.
• Plan and create the website architecture and then develop the front end of the website.
• Utilize your deep understanding of WordPress and Figma and plugins to manage website development and optimization, ensuring a seamless, high-converting online presence without the need for complex programming skills.
• Install, configure, and monitor plugins.
• Construct and design all pages or posts within either WordPress or Figma
• Design, create, and optimize pages in Systeme.io for sales pages, opt-ins, courses, and more.
• Rigorously test each page or post's funnel and on-page links for functionality, user experience, and responsiveness across devices before it goes live.
• Ensure all pages and posts are optimized for speed and SEO, including image optimization, meta tags, and keyword integration.
• Identify and resolve any technical issues within WordPress pages or posts, performing regular maintenance to ensure site health.
• Implement strategies and features on pages and posts to improve conversion rates, including call-to-action buttons, contact forms, and landing page design.
• Ensure all web pages and posts adhere to web standards and accessibility guidelines, making content accessible to all users.
• Design new features and functionality.
• Ensure website responsiveness and availability.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven expertise in working with WordPress.org and Figma, with the ability to optimize websites for performance and conversions.
• Strong analytical abilities, using tags and metadata to unify the work across channels to drive an efficient sales funnel.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, able to work cross-functionally to integrate various marketing efforts.

Preferred Qualities

• An Associate or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Analytics, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• 1+ years of experience working with WordPress.org, Figma experience preferred.
• Strong aesthetic and design sense and knowledge of SEO best practices.
• Familiarity with digital analytics tools and performance monitoring, such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
• Experience with agile methodologies; SAFe familiarity is a plus.
• Preferably, marketing certifications (such as Google Digital Garage: Fundamentals of Digital Marketing, Hubspot Email Marketing, Hubspot Digital Marketing)
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Experience with the following platforms is not required but preferred. Once hired, the individual would be required to go through training/documentation to become skilled with each platform.
