Responsibilities:

  • Own month-end close activities for the following areas: cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, payroll and benefits and other operating expenses
  • Prepare all close journal entries in a timely and accurate manner
  • Post and reconcile all bank activity on a weekly basis
  • Prepare Audit PBCs for interim and year-end audit procedures
  • Own the preparation of account reconciliations
  • Assist in maintaining the internal control environment to the ensure accuracy of financials.

Team Lead duties:

  • Establish and execute the processes and procedures
  • Establish and manage the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Monitor and evaluate all processes and implement improvement to ensure clients receive appropriate and high-quality services as committed
  • Perform daily and monthly auditing of work processes
  • Monitor and assist team members in the daily operation aspects of the project including reviewing the status and performance against targets, performing root cause analysis of variances and making improvements to meet the targets
  • Coach, guide and train team members by providing excellent service
  • Provide assistance to team members in accordance with established practices and procedures
  • Provide reports as agreed with client
  • Assist in hiring, selection and training of new team members, update ledgers,
  • data, and reports.

Requirements:

  • 6-9 years of relevant accounting experience at a fast-paced technology company
  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA or CA preferred but not required
  • Excellent technical accounting skills with an in-depth understanding of GAAP standards
  • Strong project management skills encompassing attention to detail and ability to prioritize and lead high priority tasks on concurrent timelines
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with modern software and systems, particularly NetSuite
  • 1-3 years supervisory experience
