Job Summary:
The Senior Revenue Accountant will join a dynamic finance team in a high-growth, technology-focused company. This role is essential for managing comprehensive revenue accounting processes under US GAAP, particularly ASC 606, with a focus on ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and equipped to handle a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Month-End Close: Lead month-end close processes, including the preparation and review of journal entries related to revenue, write-offs, loss reserves, and other estimates. Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with US GAAP.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reports; perform flux analysis and present financial data and insights to management.
- Account Reconciliations: Perform detailed accounts receivable reconciliations and prepare the allowance for doubtful accounts.
- Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and support for both internal and external audits, ensuring readiness and compliance.
- Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis: Generate special reports as required by management; assist in financial analysis and projections.
- Compliance and Process Improvement: Adhere to financial policies and regulations; continuously seek and implement opportunities to optimize financial processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting, with specific expertise in revenue accounting under US GAAP and ASC 606.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a remote, high-growth, and dynamic technology environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proven capability to work independently and manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to clearly Preferred Qualifications communicate complex financial information.
Highly Preferred:
CPA or equivalent certification.
Experience in the technology or SaaS industry.
NetSuite experience
Ability to understand and write SQL queries for data manipulation and analysis.
- Experience with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance, internal controls, and regulatory standards.
