Senior Corporate Accountant
About the job Senior Corporate Accountant
The ideal candidate will be excited to show up daily with a team player mentality to assist in whatever capacity is needed. The core job responsibilities will include the following:
- Perform monthly close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analysis, and other accounting operations tasks
- Prepare all close journal entries in a timely and accurate manner not limited to Cash, Prepaid Expenses, Fixed Assets, Payroll & other operating expenses.
- Support our Finance team in ad hoc analysis as needed to improve company forecasts
- Perform cash accounting entries, lease, fixed asset, and accounts payable entries
- Work closely with the Procure to Pay team to provide timely analysis of Purchase Orders and streamline month-end accruals
- Conduct monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
- Partner with US team to support international filings and statutory financials
- Assist in the preparation of financial information for income taxes and external audits
- Perform backup duties for accounts payable/ expense report review and procurement operations
- Be proactive in identifying process inefficiencies and offer suggestions for improvements
What You'll Bring To The Team
- 4+ years of increasing responsibility within accounting roles
- Some public accounting, corporate, or BPO experience preferred with a minimum 2 years of industry experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, ideally at a public company
- NetSuite experience is highly preferred
- Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to keep others informed of project progress and escalations
- Self-directed, able to perform responsibilities independently
- Strong desire to be a team player and help in whatever capacity possible
- Willing and eager to learn
- A passion for the Company's mission and values
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
- CPA is a plus
